In the 2022-23 year season (October’22 to March ‘23), United Sikh Mission – USM will be organizing more than 50 eye-care camps covering more than 400+ villages across rural Punjab, India spread over a time span of 5 Months.
Last year in the 2021-22 year season, USM served 40 village locations, where 13,786 people visited the camps in which 8,731 were provided with free spectacles, 13,637 with medicines, and 1,981 underwent eye surgeries absolutely free of cost, all costs fully borne by United Sikh Mission, supported by the community and contributions which came from them.
Now in its 18th year, United Sikh Mission has been serving the underprivileged community in East Punjab and the United States since 2005 and has organized free-of-cost Eye Healthcare camps in Punjab. To date, in a span of 17 years, 463 eye camps have been held, which has witnessed a footfall of 2,53,593. To date, a total of 1,49,520 spectacles have been issued to the needy, and 27,974 surgeries have been done successfully.
